Christmas with the Skeltons: Holidays 2021
It was a magical Christmas- Watching Lake open presents and understand Santa this year was too fun, plus it was our Roany’s first Christmas and our first as a complete family.

Zuma Pete Skelton
We are crazy- On October 24th, we mt the newest love of our lives, Zuma (yes, definitely named after the Chocolate Lab on Paw Patrol). Zuma is a Chocolate Lab. On November 2nd, we weighed in at 25 pounds! He has the cutest white marks on the bottom of his front paws ans he has gorgeous green eyes. We love him to pieces and Derby does, too. He was born August 18th (a week before Roan!) and is the sweetest, smartest little guy.

Happy Halloween 2021
Lake LOVED Halloween this year- I spent the week talking up his costume, teaching him about trick-or-treating, and getting him excited. It worked. He went as Chewbacca and Roan spent her first Halloween as Baby Yoda. Zuma of West Lafayette went as Zuma of Adventure Bay- Let’s Dive In!

Welcoming Roan Niles
Our daughter, Roan Niles Skelton, was born on August 26th, 2021, at 7:02 AM (the exact same time as her brother). She weighed 7.8 pounds and was 19 inches long. It has been a magical 7 weeks of loving on her. I’m so happy to show off her newborn pictures, taken by Lindsay Konopa Photography. Hair and Makeup is by Julia Wadsworth.

The Skeltons: Family and Maternity Pictures July 2021
Thank you so much to Lindsay Kokopa Photography for the amazing pictures of our growing family. Lake’s maternity pictures were taken on the beach at Lake Michigan, so I wanted something similar to that feel but unique to baby girl. This perfect spot on a Geist Reservoir dock felt so right. The water was gorgeous and Lake loved counting all the fishies around the shore. I canot get over how big my Lake looks in these pictures, taken just before his second birthday.

Lake Does Churchill Downs
I have been envisioning Lake’s first trip to Churchill Downs since before he was born. I ordered this tiny and perfect pink seersucker suit for him when I was pregnant, picturing him at his first Kentucky Derby. What I didn’t envision of course was a pandemic- The derby ran without spectators last year and this year, there were too many unknowns to anticipate if going would be a smart idea for us, especially with a toddler. We decided instead to once again attend Churchill Downs’ lovely Mothers Day brunch a week after the derby. We have been before, and done the Father’s Day edition too, but certainly never had as…

Honoring Our Boomer
Two weeks ago, we said goodbye to our sweet Boomer. I was hoping to find the right words to let our friends and family know about her passing by now, but it’s still proving hard to know how to say what she meant to us and we are still feeling our loss every day. She lived an amazing life and we are so thankful that she chose us to be a part of it. No matter the obstacle, her happiness never wavered. Boomer was the sweetest, smartest, most loyal, gentle, and kind girl. She was always willing to snuggle up and she knew who loved her and was sure to…
