Favorite Breastfeeding Support Products to Try
I listed the companies by Instagram handle below so you can check them all out! Some offer one type of product while others offer several different products, all intended to support milk supply. Please keep in mind that no product is one size fits all. Sometimes, what works for one doesn’t work for another. And, at the end of the day, the best things to do are drink water like crazy, take in enough calories, get rest, and support yourself with oats and a nice pat on the back. BUT some of these companies make really awesome drink mixes, cookies, treats, and other items that help boost your supply and/or…

Eggcellent Easter
We celebrated Roan’s first Easter and Lake’s third in the sunshine- I am thankful for the beautiful weather we had over the weekend because of course, we met Monday morning with snow. Lake’s pants and shirt are both from Janie and Jack. Roan’s outfit is from Marie Nicole.

My Current Favorite Tech Tools for the Classroom
I bet I am not alone in feeling like since Covid, students seem extra quiet and less engaged. I keep trying to think of ways to make lessons more engaging and to spark interest in my classes. I teach English 11 and Yearbook, so I mostly have upperclassmen. Below are some of the tools I am liking lately. They certainly aren’t anything new and you may already use and enjoy some of them- They are simply the tools I have been focusing on incorporating into class lately and spending time learning more about. Canva: I have been using Canva in the classroom for years. I use it to create presentations…

Disney 2022
Lake’s second trip to Disney (at 2.5 years) and Roan’s first trip to Disney (at 7 months) was one to remember. Lake is very in to Toy Story so the Buzz Lightyear ride in Magic Kingdom and Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios were his favorites, along with the Star Wars area at Hollywood Studios and all the “Sausage sandwishes” AKA cheeseburgers. Roan was such a little trooper and was the happiest girl all week. We all loved wathcing them both have fun. I am so thankful for these memories made with our kids, my parents, and my grandparents.

{Rainbow} Roan
Just some adorable pictures of our little girl at 5 months old. Whenever I get pictures of her I always think, “These are my new favorites.” But these really truly are my new favorites! I love her expressions in them and her sparkling eyes. Dress and topknot linked at the bottom of the photo gallery.

Nursery Style for Baby Girl: Roan’s Room
Roan Niles Skelton’s room is just like her; beauty and femininity paired with boldness and power. This room turned out just as I had envisioned and I love it for her. The first thing I knew I wanted were the navy plaid walls and I think it is such a perfect backdrop for this pretty little space. My favorite elements include the portrait of Derby, a similar painting to the one of her in Lake’s room but with the added girls touch of the adorable flower crown; the antique dresser Daniel painted the perfect shade of pink, the water color jockey silks, the Nancy Drew art that is special to…

Back to the Classroom: Teacher Style
Back to the classroom after over 4 months off with my sweet baby Roan and favorite guy Lake- I am rounding up some of my work outfits here with focus on certain pieces that I think are amazing for moms who are going back to work after maternity leave. It is so hard to do for a million different reasons and I am exhausted. BUT I do love a good challenge and I choose to think of fashion as exactly that- A fun challenge each day to dress up, feel and look good, and be comfortable. I included my game day and Friday outfits too, more casual and of course…

Breastfeeding and Pumping Essentials
Breastfeeding is no joke. It is such a difficult thing to do in many ways- planning your day around feedings, figuring out what to do and how to pump when you have to be away from baby, storing milk, finding the best pump for you, etc. It’s a lot. With my son Lake, I was new to breastfeeding and felt like I learned something new every day about tips and tricks, what to do and not to do. One of my biggest regrets is not joining a support group (one I found on Facebook that I joined when he was about nine months old) sooner. I instantly felt connected to…
