Disney 2024
I’m thankful for a magical trip to Disney last week with our family. It was perfect weather, and the kids had a blast. Lake was tall enough to ride some new rides like Thunder Mountain and Slinky Dog Dash and Roan met several princesses.

A Birthday Fate: Roan’s Merida Birthday Party
Cake: Elizabeth SKelton Cookies: Mammaw’s Sweet Shoope Sign: The Sign Queen Roan started asking for a Merida (from Disney’s Brave) party sooooo long ago. I had fun incorporating details from the movie; Wisps (cotton candy), The Crafty Carver (craft station), targets, Angus the horse, and bright tartan plaids. Happy Birthday to our clan’s princess: Roan. See bottom of post for linked party items.

Paris Olympics 2024
Ever since I was little, it has been a dream of mine to go to the Olympics. Every four summers, I bury myself in whatever sport is on at that moment and I stay up way too late watching live coverage. Gymnastics and swimming have always been my favorites- I can so clearly remember watching Michael Phelps, Shawn Johnson, Gabby Douglas, and Ryan Lochte over the years on tv – but I lose myself in the stories about all of the athletes and their dreams, no matter the sport. I learn something new with every match of volleyball, every leg of the decathlon, every mile of speed walking. We originally…

Travel Essentials
Below are some items that make travel easier for me: *These silicone bottle covers are life-changing. I always have issues with toiletries leaking and these really work! None of my bottles leak when I use them and they are super stretchy *Cute luggage tags that stand out on my boring black luggage and help me find my bags at the airport *I used to use gallon Ziploc bags for all of my toiletries but I recently got these plastic packing cubes and I love them. They’re reusable and high-quality *Carpe setting spray is fantastic- It genuinely helps my makeup stay put even when I get really sweaty *Comfy neck pillow…

Kentucky Derby 150
It was a gorgeous- albeit a little wet on Friday and a little hot on Saturday- weekend in Louisville. I am thankful for mostly beautiful weather and two great days of racing. This weekend marked a big milestone, as it was the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby. The KY Derby has been held on the first Saturday of May very year since its inaugural event in 1875 with the exception of two years: in 1947 it was held in June due to the end of WWII, and in 2020 it was pushed to September due to COVID. There are so many special elements about the derby; I personally love…

My little shamrocks: Happy St. Patrick’s Day
We celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by taking a little Sunday drive to Redamak’s! We met up with “Yamma Mumaw” and Papa Mumaw, “Yamma Tracey” and Papa Dan, and kicked off spring with the best burgers in Michigan. Here are my cuties in their green. Matching sweater and sweater dress from Gymboree.

Broncho Cheer Wins Regionals, Makes History
I’ve started to think of my website as a little journal for myself, versus a place I particularly plan to share with others. I forget about it so often, then will find myself wanting to sit down and put together a post about something I want to remember. Well, our varsity cheerleaders winning Regional for the first time ever is certainly one of those things. On November 19th, 2023, our team of 15 won the Small Varsity Coed Game Day division at UCA Regionals. It was held at Hamilton Southeastern HS and we took home a score of 88.2. The Game Day division consists of four judged sections, all worth…
